Bedfunk are pleased to welcome back the wonderful Jodie Erica.

Jodie Erica first featured on the label last year with the Traxsource number 1 Set Me Free, with label head Pat Bedeau. She is back with a new song called Gold and it really is gold standard. Jodie flexes her writing skills conjuring up this catchy number with its's hook that is instantly familiar. Her vocals bring the song to life in her irreplicable, laid back style. The backing track provided by Pat Bedeau with keys by the, oh so hot!, Ziggy Funk, give it that Bedfunk vibe that is always soulful with that gritty underground edge (we really couldn't have picked a better name for our label). The whole package comes together to give the dance floor exactly what it needs. Can you feel it?

Jodie Erica is a Milton Keynes based singer and song writer. She has a diverse love for music and takes inspiration from R&B, Indie-pop, Neo-Soul and artists like Mariah Carey & Joss Stone. Her warm vocals and soothing tones gives her own unique flavour. All of this combined makes for wide appeal and allows her to connect to her audience on many levels. She is a natural story teller and her voice helps her deliver that message in a special way. This really shows in the self penned Set Me Free with it's instantly familiar hook and deep meaning in it's verses that people can relate to. A song about finding that right person for you.

Jodie teams up with Pat Bedeau who provides the base for Jodie to write and perform her beautiful vocals. His now signature swinging beats with deep pulsing synths and a warm bass line that glues the track all together. This is a winning combination. We at Bedfunk are loving it and we are sure you will too.
